
Garry Lennon is a queer Costume Designer and professor based in Los Angeles.
Garry Lennon is a queer Los Angeles based Costume Designer and Costume scholar who has been working professionally for the past thirty years. He received his MFA in Theatrical Design from West Virginia University. Garry has taught at Syracuse University, West Virginia University, University of Dallas as well as California State University Northridge. Garry enjoys storytelling in all forms but loves puppetry, masks as well as theater for Young Audiences. He’s a huge fan of Musical Theater, Gilded Age and Downton Abbey.
Garry’s recent designs include The Hobbit at Teenage Drama Workshop, Love’s Labour’s Lost with Independent Shakespeare and One Man, Two Guvners’ at A Noise Within. In the past, he designed multiple productions for Independent Shakespeare Company including MacBeth, Richard III, Twelfth Night, A Winter’s Tale, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Garry designs regularly with A Noise Within, his designs include The Skin of our Teeth, Metamorphosis and The Winter’s Tale to name a few. Other work includes Fuente Ovejuna and A Christmas Carol at Trinity Repertory, District Merchants, Jane of The Jungle at South Coast Repertory and The Thanksgiving Play at the Geffen Theatre. He has also worked with Cornerstone Theater Company, Reprise Theatre Company, and Mixed Blood, among others.
